Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz is also known her real name as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter in honor of her hometown. Michel Horowitz was her father as well as Cynthia Palmer, his mother, were both authors and editors. Ryder's dad was born into a Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. She is the younger sister of Uria and half-siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. Ryder relocated with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. In the area, there was no electricity. Ryder was a voracious bookworm and spent most of her time reading a book because she was not able to watch TV. Ryder, then 12, was enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. Her first role was a success on the big screen in the year 1986 at the age of 15 older. Ryder suffered bullying in her high school. Her performing career, she thought to help, could have helped her. But sadly, it did not work out. However, she remained committed to her dreams. Her breakthrough occurred in the year 1988, when Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued to play successful roles in a variety of films. Two Academy Awards were nominated, one for The Age of Innocence (1996).
